This morning I had a major craving for pancakes so I called my friend Bee up and we headed down to MAC 24/7. It's a 24 hour diner located in the Prince Kuhio hotel. They are also notorious for their ginormous Mac Daddy pancakes! We decided to share the blueberry Mac Daddy pancakes and the chicken fried steak (which we stupidly thought was chicken haha). Anyways, when the pancakes arrived, Bee was scared to even eat it cause it was so huge lol. I think it weighs like 3 lbs?
Not sure why I look extremely happy in this pic.. perhaps I was overly excited for my pancakes?I think they also do eating contests where if you eat the whole thing, you get your picture on the wall of fame which I think is so not worth the bad tummy ache you'll get after eating 3 lbs of carbs!!! Bee and I ended up eating like less than a half of one pancake. Since we didn't want to waste the rest, we decided to give it to this homeless guy in Waikiki (who was actually sleeping lol).. hopefully he enjoyed it though =) I'm sure they are the biggest pancakes he has ever seen.
I was also thinking how the guy who does Man Vs. Food would be perfect for the Mac Daddy pancake contest. Well lo and behold, I found that he has actually already done it! Check out this video on youtube. Unfortunately, they don't show the whole thing? I never got to see whether he finished it or not =(
